About

Caity Anderson obtained Bachelor’s Degrees in Biology and Biochemistry from St. Mary’s College of Maryland. She then earned a PhD in biology from Johns Hopkins University where she won the Steven and Carolyn Oppenheimer Thesis Award for her work integrating genetic, molecular, behavioral, and computational analyses to identify gene regulatory mechanisms controlling eye development and color perception. Following this work, she joined HMX as the Genetics Curriculum Lead at Harvard Medical School where she developed courses in advanced genetics topics including Genetic Testing and Sequencing Technologies, Nucleic Acid Therapeutics, and Gene Therapy. After serving as Curriculum Lead, she became the Associate Director of HMX curriculum and continues to work with the Curriculum Leads to make new courses.
