Dr. Herrick Nadine Fisher, who goes by Cricket, is an attending hospitalist in the Brigham and Women’s Hospital Department of Medicine, director of the Integrated Teaching Unit for the Internal Medicine Residency, and assistant professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 2019 and medical school at the University of California, San Francisco in 2016. Prior to a career in medicine, she studied sociology and evidence-based social intervention at Oxford University. Her professional interests include medical education with a particular focus on the learning environment, social justice, and addiction medicine. She is a recognized educator with numerous teaching awards within the Department of Medicine. Starting in 2018, she developed a Toolkit and workshop on how to respond to microaggressions and continues to facilitate workshops regionally and nationally to clinical staff, trainees, and faculty of multiple specialties.
