About

Dr. Luana Marques is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, Founder and Director of Community Psychiatry PRIDE at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), and former President of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America. For over two decades, her research and clinical work have focused on anxiety, avoidance, and how people make decisions under pressure — and on translating that science into tools anyone can use in everyday life.

A leading expert in Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBTs), Dr. Luana is the creator of the Bold Move® framework and the author of the critically acclaimed book Bold Move: A 3-Step Plan to Transform Anxiety into Power. Her teaching blends rigorous science with real-world storytelling to help learners recognize hesitation in the moment, move through discomfort, and take meaningful action — at work, at home, and in the decisions that matter most.
