Chenzhe (Chen) Cao is Director of AI Literacy and Acceleration at Mass General Brigham, where he leads enterprise strategy for generative AI adoption across clinical and operational workflows. As AI becomes increasingly embedded in health care delivery, his work focuses on helping the health system's workforce build the foundational knowledge, critical thinking, and practical skills to engage with these technologies thoughtfully and responsibly. Since joining Mass General Brigham, he has led the growth of an internally developed generative AI platform to more than 2,500 active users, developed governance and literacy frameworks now used across the enterprise, and delivered AI literacy programming to over 350 senior leaders and thousands of physicians at the academic medical centers.

Earlier in his career, Chen started at the Digital Innovation Hub at Brigham and Women's Hospital, where he spearheaded development and implementation of digital health solutions—including a COVID-19 vaccine scheduling system serving 80,000+ employees and managed a portfolio of more than 120 digital research and innovation projects. He also served as the Digital Health Lead at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. He is currently an adjunct faculty at Boston University School of Public Health, where he helps educate the next generation of healthcare professionals, and he remains engaged with his alma mater as a member of the Boston University Alumni Council.
