Samantha Gelfand MD is a nephrologist and palliative care specialist at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA. She completed nephrology training at the University of Pennsylvania and palliative care training at Harvard. She is currently the Co-Director of the KidneyPal Outpatient Program and the Associate Program Director of the Harvard Interprofessional Palliative Care Fellowship. Her academic interests include decision-making for seriously ill patients with advanced kidney disease, moral distress among nephrology fellows, and palliative care needs of patients with failing kidney transplant allografts.
