Dr. Akenroye is an Associate Physician in the Division of Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH).
Dr. Akenroye completed her medical degree at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital in Ile-Ife, Nigeria. She then completed residency in Internal Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Jacobi) in Bronx, NY and a fellowship in Allergy & Immunology at Johns Hopkins University. She cares for patients with asthma and a wide variety of allergic and immunologic diseases weekly in the BWH outpatient clinic. Her research interest is in the utilization, safety, and effectiveness of monoclonal antibodies approved for asthma. She applies innovative epidemiologic approaches in evaluating the comparative effectiveness of respiratory biologics and leverages multi-omics strategies in identifying response biomarkers to these targeted therapies.
